I mentioned in a previous post that I found something a little weird in a photo of the Seattle Underground, and I just can’t decide what it is. If you look in the lower right corner of the image (just below the base of the sign and to the right) you notice two squiggly lines of light.
We can’t quite figure out what it is. My first reaction is ghost or some sort of specter, and my husband agrees, but my best friend is calling foul and thinks it’s just a reflection of something on the ground. Both ideas have merit since the underground is creepy and probably haunted AND there was a lot of debris everywhere so there could have been something on the ground, but I don’t have any pictures to prove otherwise.
I also thought it could have been some lens flare from the sketchy lighting in the underground BUT there were no other flares of light like that in ANY of the pictures I took, and it’s not quite the right shape (flares tend to be more round).
After I posted it to Facebook my cousin commented and said something to the effect of “Wow! Creepy, but did you notice the face above the sign?”
Oh boy.
And it’s one of those things that you can’t UNSEE, so now my eye is just constantly drawn towards the face on the wall.
So basically this picture is just a whole bunch of creepy going on in one shot.
Even though this tour had some creepy moments, and an equally creepy picture, I would totally go again. Though next time I would go for the late tour, where it’s 21+ and includes a cocktail.
Woo! Cocktails and creepy underground? Sounds like a party to me!
