When we first arrived at Canon beach, we did our first hike down the north side of the parking lot where the truck was. It was a nice long walk, enjoying the high tide and getting our feet wet. After a brief stop for lunch back at the truck we walked South. By the time we walked to the other end of the beach the tide was low. Really low. I kept having to chase the waves further and further out.
Having my feet in the surf was a requirement of the day. However, that gave us the chance to go and explore in the crevices of the uncovered rocks, to see all of the little marine life that lives in there. It really is pretty incredible.
I have to say these little sea cucumbers are really creepy looking. I know they are awesome and have their little fingers/antenna that pop out when under water but they just look weird.
